Biography

Stacey was born, rather uneventfully, in 1992 in the dreary commuter town of Basingstoke. She first “trod the boards” at the tender age of 6 and has kept theatre as her first and foremost love ever since. Alongside theatre, she was given a steady diet of literature by her late grandfather and has probably spent more time living in fictional worlds than she has this one. Her first “book” was Tina Titmouse’s bad day. Written and illustrated by herself, it contained a pouch with the message “Every cloud has a silver lining.”. To this day she owns the only copy.

Always ambitious, she received 12 GCSEs from Costello Technology College while performing at her local branch of Stagecoach Theatre Arts. During her time at Stagecoach, she achieved her bronze medal, LAMDA Grade 2 (merit), LAMDA Grade 4 (merit) and was awarded the stagecoacher of the year award for her branch. Leaving school, she went on to gain a BTEC National Diploma in Performing Arts and won an award for “Best Junior” for her work at the Silchester Players.

Moving away from the theatre world, she gained her Events Management BA (hons) from the University of Chester in 2013, where her love of photography blossomed after being generously gifted her trusty DSLR, a canon E0S 350D. She also began writing for https://culturedvultures.com/ where she took on the mantle of Head of Lifestyle and Internet Culture. After graduating, Stacey undertook an internship working on cultural events for a year and has since worked on meetings and conferences in the STEMM world.

Her recent creative works include a range of digital photography expeditions, performing with Second Thoughts in sunny Stratford Upon Avon and working on her stage adaptation of the Beautiful and damned by F. Scott Fitzgerald.

In the near future, she hopes to further her love of photography with formal qualifications and to develop her love of theatre by taking on more directorial roles.
